We’re inviting the public into our studio space for a free community storytime featuring Degas & The Little Dancer. Young ballerina Marie van Goethen dreamed of becoming a world famous dancer. She gave up her dreams to support her family as an artist’s model, yet still became one of the most famous dancers in the world as the subject of Edgar Degas’ bronze statue La Petite Danseuse de Quatorze Ans. An interactive activity will follow the story. For ages 5 and under and accompanying adults. This storytime is a small preview of family ballet Degas & The Little Dancer, which takes place for seven performances May 8-22!
