FREE PERFORMANCE - EMPEROR & THE NIGHTINGALE

  • BELMONT UNIVERSITY MASSEY PERFORMING ARTS CENTER 1900 Belmont Blvd Nashville, TN, 37212 United States (map)

Join Nashville Ballet’s Outreach & Education Department and the Belmont University School of Music for a FREE performance of the children's ballet, Emperor & the Nightingale.

Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen, Emperor & the Nightingale tells the story of the Emperor of China and a songbird, who teaches him that some things are not meant to be caged, and that the strongest friendship can be found through freedom.

This performance is FREE, open to the public and appropriate for all ages. Pre-registration is requested, as seating is limited. It will also include a short interactive, educational program following the ballet aimed at getting guests up and moving, as well as teaching them about ballet.

This unique partnership between Nashville Ballet and the School of Music is made possible by a Metropolitan Nashville Arts Commission (MNAC) Creation Grant.
