Ballet Pedagogy and Syllabus Manager
Founder of Kirova Ballet Academy of Miami and Space Coast Ballet (Melbourne Florida), Miss Kirova was born in Russia and educated at the world famous Vaganova Ballet Academy (St. Petersburg, Russia), by renowned Russian professor Irina Trofimova, pupil of Agrippina Vaganova. In 1989 she joined the world famous Kirov Ballet (now known as Mariinsky).
Miss Kirova performed numerous solo roles in productions of “La Bayadere”, “Giselle”, “Swan Lake”, “The Nutcracker”, “Corsair” “Sleeping Beauty”, La Syphide, Don Quixote, Raymonda and most of the classical repertory of Mariinsky theater. Mrs Kirova was invited as a guest dancer with several companies in Europe.
In 2001 Mrs Kirova founded Melbourne Ballet Center (in 2003 renamed as Space Coast Ballet) and Kirova Ballet Academy of Miami in 2010. Under her direction the students from both Academies has built an extraordinary record of achievement,attended and received scholarships from the most prestigious ballet schools in the U.S. including Alvin Ailey School (NY), Harid Conservatory and The Kirov Ballet Academy at Washington (DC), Vaganova Ballet Academy( Russia).
Her talents and “hands on” teaching provides the greatest dance opportunity for all her students. With a love of teaching and commitment to her profession, Mrs.Kirova has trained and inspired her students to win in prestigious International ballet competitions throughout the US.
Several students joined the professional dance companies in USA and around the world including Israel Ballet Theater and Royal Sweden Ballet.
Mrs. Kirova received “Outstanding Teacher Award” from YAGP, UBC, and ADC.
