Daniel Mendonça da Silva began his dance training at Espaço Aberto Dance School in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil before continuing his studies at Petite Danse Dance School and Projeto Dançar a Vida Company. He completed his professional training at the Dutch National Ballet Academy in 2026.

Throughout his training, Daniel has had the opportunity to work with and learn from renowned ballet professionals, including Alysson Rocha, Ballet Master of Dortmund Ballet, as well as Denilson Almeida, Soloist of the Royal Opera House Ballet; Stéphane Phavorin, former Principal Dancer with the Paris Opera Ballet; and Diego Lima, a dancer with the Bordeaux Opera.

His performance experience includes classical and neoclassical repertoire such as Le Corsaire, Harlequinade, Don Quixote, The Talisman, La Fille mal gardée, La Esmeralda, and Acteon, as well as the neoclassical solos From Rocinha to the World and A Shy but Not So Simple Place. He has performed these works in galas and competitions throughout Brazil.

Daniel has also received recognition at major dance competitions, including the Joinville Dance Festival and YAGP. His achievements include 1st place at YAGP for the Grand Pas de Deux from La Fille mal gardée, as well as multiple 2nd and 3rd place awards at the Joinville Dance Festival in pas de deux, solo, and group repertoire categories.

Daniel joined Nashville Ballet as Company Artist in 2026.
