about COMMUNITY Division youth classes
Our Community Division Youth Classes introduce dancers to the fundamentals of classical ballet education using the foundation of the School of Nashville Ballet syllabus. Students enrolled in Community Division Youth Classes receive high-caliber training from School of Nashville Ballet faculty in an environment that establishes a foundation for dance education and continued technical development. Youth classes are open to ages 8 to 18, offering Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced placements. Age ranges are recommendations rather than requirements; each student will be placed in the level that best reflects their current level of training and ability per a placement class.
Enrollment is now open for Summer 2024! Select a program schedule below to enroll online. A placement class is highly recommended for those interested in the Intermediate and Advanced levels. To schedule a placement class, or if you need additional assistance, please contact School of Nashville Ballet at (615) 297-2966 x910 or school@nashvilleballet.com.

In the tradition of classical ballet and in the encouragement of each dancer's positive self-image, we strive to have a clean, uniform appearance for all students.
All students should wear street clothes and shoes over their ballet attire when coming to and from their classes. Extra layers ensure modesty and help muscles warm up and cool down properly. We encourage dancers of all ages to practice this healthy habit.
Clothing should be changed in dressing rooms only, not the lobby or hallways. Ballet shoes cannot be worn outdoors as this tracks dirt into the studio, can compromise the safety of our students and dancers, and is detrimental to the studio floors.
Jewelry, other than small earrings, may not be worn in the studios. Hair should be pulled away from the face and secured neatly.
Enrollment and Tuition Policy
School of Nashville Ballet reserves the right to cancel classes due to lack of enrollment. Canceled classes will be prorated and refunded.

In the case of serious injury or illness, refunds may be considered on an individual basis, are not guaranteed, and may be subject to a 25% administration fee. Voluntary or involuntary withdrawals and missed classes are not considered eligible for refunds.
