BIO
Originally from Merrimack, New Hampshire, Autumn Tierney started dancing at six years old. At fourteen, she began her formal ballet training at Southern New Hampshire Dance Theatre under Patricia Lavoie and Douglas Davis and soon became a member of the Southern New Hampshire Youth Ballet.

From 2015 to 2018, she trained in Boston Ballet School’s Pre-Professional and Trainee programs under Margaret Tracey, Kathleen Mitchell, and Peter Stark. During her time there, she was able to perform alongside Boston Ballet company members in various corps roles in productions such as The Sleeping Beauty, La Sylphide, Romeo and Juliet, and The Nutcracker, and was selected for the summer exchange with Canada’s National Ballet School. For the 2018-19 season, Tierney was a Trainee at Ballet West Academy, where she performed the lead role in Gerald Arpino’s Viva Vivaldi, and was selected as a guest performer to star in North Star Ballet School’s Nutcracker production as the Sugar Plum Fairy.

In 2019, Tierney joined NB2, Nashville Ballet’s official second company. During this time, she performed in Artistic Director Emeritus Paul Vasterling’s Billy the Kid Suite, Peter Pan, and Nashville’s Nutcracker, as well as new works by Artistic Director and CEO Nick Mullikin, Charlotte Boye-Christensen, Alia Kache, Chris Stuart, and Julia Eisen. In 2022, she was promoted to a Company Apprentice.

When she’s not in the studio, Tierney enjoys reading, gaining further understanding of the body through Pilates and Gyrotonics, and baking sourdough bread. She is also currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree through Arizona State University’s online program.
