BIO
William Giannuzzi’s enthusiasm and passion for dancing started early in his childhood. At age 7, Giannuzzi began formally training and cultivating his dance skills in his hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina. He continued his training at The University of North Carolina School of the Arts High School and summer programs at Miami City Ballet, School of American Ballet, and San Francisco Ballet on scholarship. He then danced as a trainee with Charlotte Ballet and Joffrey Ballet.

Prior to joining Nashville Ballet, Giannuzzi was a member of the Joffrey Ballet Studio Company and Atlanta Ballet II. He has performed principal and soloist roles in ballets such as George Balanchine’s Tarantella and Donizetti Variations, Jean Pierre Bonnefoux’s Peter Pan, and Ethan Stiefel’s The Nutcracker, as well as various corps roles in ballets such as Yuri Possokhov’s The Nutcracker and Don Quixote and Christian Spuck’s Leonce and Lena. He has also performed featured and soloist roles in works by Frederick Ashton, Gerald Arpino, Larry Keigwin, Durante Verzola, Mark Diamond, Christopher Marney, Nicolas Blanc, and former Nashville Ballet Resident Choreographer Christopher Stuart.

Giannuzzi enjoys listening to music, exploring new neighborhoods, and spending quality time with his cat “Stevie” in his leisure time when he is not dancing.
