BIO
Though his formal training began at age ten at Maryland Youth Ballet, Aeron Buchanan’s passion for dance has seemingly been there since birth. Having a mother who was a former dancer and studio owner, Buchanan’s love of movement came naturally.

Advancing from Maryland Youth Ballet, Buchanan continued his training at The Washington Ballet and later at the Baltimore School for the Arts (BSA). While at BSA, Buchanan performed works by esteemed choreographers such as George Balanchine, Martha Graham, Christopher d’Amboise, and Anton Wilson. He also attended summer programs at Dance Theatre of Harlem, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, The School of American Ballet, and Boston Ballet, all on full scholarships.

After graduating from BSA in 2017, Buchanan joined Boston Ballet as a trainee, and in 2018, he joined Pacific Northwest Ballet as a Professional Division student. Those two years of growth and dedication led him to Cincinnati Ballet II in 2019, and after one season there he joined Nashville Ballet’s company as a Patricia and Louis Todd Family Foundation Apprentice. During his first season with Nashville Ballet, Aeron performed in a wide variety of classical and contemporary works, including Paul Vasterling’s Seasons, Jennifer Archibald’s Posters, and the broadcast premiere of Nashville’s Nutcracker.
