On the final Thursday of Session VII (the Pre-Professional Program) and the final Friday of Sessions II, III, V and VI, students will present a showcase of their work. Family and friends are invited to attend free of charge. For performances on Friday, July 20, seating is limited to three seats per student, and will be by RSVP only. Sessions I and IV will offer parent observation of technique class on the final Friday.

Directions to Belmont University Campus
Where to go on Move-in Day
Nashville Ballet Summer Intensive boarding students will be staying at Horrell Hall, located on 15th Avenue South between Bernard Avenue and Compton Avenue (indicated by the red star on the map to the left.) Parking is free of charge and is available in the Horrell Hall parking garage only. On move-in day, please follow the instructions below:
- Take Wedgewood Avenue to 15th Avenue South.
- Continue on 15th Avenue South at the roundabout
- Continue on 15th until you reach Ashwood Avenue. Take a left on Ashwood Avenue.
- Drive down Ashwood Avenue until you reach Eastwood Avenue. Turn left onto Eastwood Avenue.
- Take Eastwood Avenue until it dead ends. At the end of Eastwood you will take a left up a steep hill.
- After turning up the hill, the entrance to the parking garage will be on the right.
- After parking, please ensure that you take the elevator labeled for HORRELL to the lobby. The Horrell elevator bay is the elevator bay located furthest away from the garage entrance point. *Please note: there are two elevator bays in this parking garage. Only one leads to Horrell.
- Take the Horrell elevator to level one for check-in.
Due to construction, several streets on your way to Horrell Hall will be closed that your GPS will not recognize. Please use the directions listed above. Or, type 2101 Eastwood Avenue Nashville, TN 37212 into your GPS for easy navigation. From there, you'll see Nashville Ballet signs directing you where to go.
Weekend Field Trips
Spend the afternoon enjoying the many exhibits Nashville Zoo has to offer—from lemurs and leopards to bears and bats, there's something for everyone!
Cost: $19 for ages 13+; $16 for ages 12 & under
Date: Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 2-6 p.m.

Open to Session II students only.
Treetop Adventure Park
Take a journey and explore the outdoors like never before at Treetop Adventure Park, an adventure course featuring 100 exciting and challenging obstacles including suspended bridges, giant zip lines, cargo nets, Tarzan swings and many other thrilling elements. New this year, you'll be able to venture through the entire facility including five different courses to complete on your day of daring fun!
Date: Sunday, June 24 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Open to students in Sessions IV, VI and VII only.
Grand Old Golf & Go Karts
Enjoy two hours of unlimited miniature golf, Go Karts and bumper cars at Grand Old Golf & Go Karts near Opry Mills Mall.
Cost: $35, all-inclusive
Date: Saturday, June 30 from 2-5 p.m.

Open to students in Sessions VI and VII only.
Swing Dancing at Centennial Park
Jitterbug the night away in Nashville's iconic Centennial Park! Whether you're a beginner or a pro, a Swing Dancing instructor will guide you every rock, kick and step of the way.
Date: Saturday, July 7 from 7-10 p.m.

Open to students in Sessions V, VI and VII only.
Located on the shores of Percy Priest Lake, Nashville Shores features more than one million gallons of summer fun. Brave the waves in the gigantic wave pool, plunge down eight thrilling water slides or play, slide and splash in Kowabunga Beach, a massive water tree house and playground. Enjoy a leisurely float ride on the lazy river or soak up some rays on the beach.
Cost: $25, all-inclusive
Date: Sunday, July 15 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Registration Deadline: Friday, July 6 (or when trip reaches capacity)
Open to students in Sessions III, V, VI or VII.
Nashville Ballet provides all transportation for Housing & Meals students only. Housing Only students may purchase transportation on Nashville Ballet buses for a one-time $50 fee. Students age 16 and older may bring a vehicle to Nashville and park it in designated lots. All student boarders that elect to bring a car will be responsible for their own transportation for the entirety of the intensive.
Is there a form required for Doctor's Notes?
There is no form required for Doctor's Notes. They should be written confirmation that the dancer is in good health and able to participate in a dance intensive. This can be hand-written on prescription pad or typed with an official letterhead. Doctors notes can be emailed to email@example.com.
Can I contact my suitemates prior to move-in?
Yes. Suitemate contact information will be emailed two weeks prior to your move-in day.
Can I check out early/late?
No. Your check-in day will be the Sunday before the start of your session between 1-3 p.m. and your check-out day will be the last Friday of your session from 5-7 p.m. In the event of family emergency, international travel arrangements, or conflict with another professional dance program, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to request an exception.
What should I bring on move-in day?
Please bring two key card deposit checks made out to Nashville Ballet: one for $75 (apartment keys) and one for $25 (building access fob). Additionally, make sure to double-check the Welcome Packet and Suggested Packing List for what to bring for your dorm room as well as required attire.
I'm signed up for a meal plan. What does that cover?
Meal plans cover breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday-Friday and breakfast and lunch on Saturdays. There are no meals provided on Saturday night or all day Sunday. Regular grocery store trips will be organized and supervised by chaperones. Additionally, there are local restaurants within walking distance or a short Uber/Lyft from campus. Please make sure to indicate dietary restrictions and/or food allergies in your Registration Packet.
Not sure if you have a meal plan? You are signed up for meals if you enrolled in Housing & Meals. If you are in Housing Only or Tuition Only (not living on campus), meals are not included. Lunches may be purchased separately for non-boarding or Housing Only students. Please email email@example.com if you have any questions.
May I visit My student on campus?
Family members and friends are allowed to visit dancers at the dorms between 5:00 pm and curfew Monday – Friday and between 1:00 pm and curfew on Saturday and Sunday. On-campus visits must take place in the lobby of Horrell Hall or elsewhere on the Belmont University campus. Requests to visit must be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org by a parent/guardian in advance (under 18) or the student themselves (over 18) and written permission must be granted by the Head Chaperone or Youth Programs Coordinator. Off-campus visits for all students under age 18, where the student is checked out of the dorms, must be approved in writing by the Youth Programs Coordinator and the student’s parent/guardian. Guests may not visit your dorm room or suite except on Move In/Out days.
Can my family/parents start packing up my belongings early on a check-out day?
Unfortunately, no. Due to updated safety and security policies, on check-in days parents/families will not be allowed to move belongings in or access student dormitories until the official check-in window. Similarly, on check-out days parents/families will not be allowed in the dormitory prior to the official check-out window, including, but not limited to, attempting to pack up a student’s belongings early. Under no circumstances should a parent/family member/friend use a student’s room key to access the building and/or dorm room without explicit permission from, or supervision by, the Head Chaperone or Youth Programs Coordinator. Please plan your travels accordingly. We understand you may want to pack up and begin your travels home as quickly as possible. Encourage students to begin packing the evening before, if possible. These policies are not in place to inconvenience you; rather, they are in place to ensure the maximum safety and security for the students living on campus with us.
Where should I send mail to my student?

Please do not send mail or packages to Belmont University. We cannot guarantee the receipt of mail sent to Belmont University. If larger packages need to be sent ahead of time, prior to a dancer’s arrival, it is recommended to send it so it will arrive to the address above no sooner than a week before the start of your session.
I'm staying in Nashville for the 2018-2019 year. Where Can I find Roommates/Housing Information?

Additionally, please ask about our Facebook group where you may post if you are seeking or have availability for roommates/housing.
