2012 - 2013 Youth Cast Audition Information

Nashville Ballet is excited to offer children throughout the community, middle Tennessee and beyond the opportunity to perform on stage alongside the professional dancers of Nashville Ballet.

The Sleeping Beauty

Where: The Martin Center for Nashville Ballet
What:   Auditions for a large youth cast of
            5, 6 and 7* year olds
When:  August 24 from 6 - 7:30 p.m.
            August 25 from 12:30 - 2 p.m.
Who:   The Sleeping Beauty youth cast is only open to students enrolled in the School of Nashville Ballet’s Fall semester. You can register for fall classes online here.

* 7 year olds must have been born in 2005. 7 year olds born in 2004 are encouraged to audition for Nashville's Nutcracker.

Nashville's Nutcracker

Where: The Martin Center for Nashville Ballet
What:   Auditions for a large youth cast of
            7* years old and up
When:  Two audition opportunities:
            September 9 or 16
Registration Time: Boys ages 7 to 11 - 11 a.m.
                              Girls ages 7 and 8 - 11 a.m.
                              Girls ages 9 to 11 - 12 p.m.
Audition Time: Boys ages 7 to 11 - 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
                        Girls ages 7 and 8 - 12 to 1 p.m.
                        Girls ages 9 to 11 - 1 to 2 p.m.
School of Nashville Ballet Registration Times:
                        Boys and Girls ages 12 and up - 1:00 p.m.
School of Nashville Ballet Audition Times:
                        Boys and Girls ages 12 and up - 2 to 3:30 p.m.
Who: Nashville's Nutcracker youth cast is open to any child ages 7* to 11 years old. Children 12 years and older must be enrolled in the School of Nashville Ballet.

*Child must be 8 years old by December 31, 2012 in order to audition.
**All Nashville's Nutcracker auditionees must bring a full-body photograph and a $10 audition fee.
