Intermediate Levels - 1, 2, 3 & Boys Class

Intermediate Level students develop a solid foundation of classical ballet vocabulary that emphasizes proper posture and alignment and an increased strength of legs and feet. Students in these classes also develop and increase their sense of artistry. Students begin learning jazz, contemporary, pre-pointe and pointe.  Intermediate Level classes are best suited for children ages 9 to 14.

Level 1, 2 & Boys Class students with good attendance may particpate in our annual Spring Celebration showcase. Level 3 and up students with good attendance may particpate in our annual Spring Performance showcase. Levels 3 and up have annual exams adjudicated by School of Nashville Ballet faculty.

To enroll in an Intermediate Level, interested students must take a placement class. To schedule a placement class and learn more about our Academy, please contact School Registrar Laura Henry at 615-297-2966 x 33.

Please note that Level placement is at the discretion of our faculty and the School Dean. Each student is thoroughly evaluated and placed appropriately in order to ensure successful progression throughout his/her studies.
