Community Division
The Community Division is designed for teens and adults of all ages and abilities. Whether you are new to dance, rediscovering a passion for movement, continuing your dance education or finding new ways to stay fit, community classes can help you achieve your goals. Students find these classes both technically stimulating and a great way to stay in shape. Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Ballet classes are offered along with Yoga. Students can register for an entire semester at a time or drop into one class and pay for only that session.

Reserve and cancel your classes through our online scheduling program or on your smartphone! Classes not canceled may be charged to your account.
There is no proration for scheduling conflicts. There are no refunds for voluntary or involuntary withdrawl.

Beginner Ballet is for students who have previously taken Introduction to Ballet at the School of Nashville Ballet or have some or no previous ballet experience. Students explore the elegance and strength of ballet and learn the basic fundamentals of ballet technique (barre and center).

Intermediate Ballet is for students who have graduated from Beginning Ballet or are familiar with the fundamentals of ballet technique and want to further develop their barre and center work.

Advanced Ballet is for the accomplished dancer who has completed several years of classical ballet training. Classes include full barre and center work to further technical ability and stay in shape.

School of Nashville Ballet's new Yoga program includes Vinyasa and Restorative classes taught by certified instructors. Our Yoga offerings are suitable for all levels of yoga practitioners.

Community Division Attire
There is no dress code for Community Division classes. Students should wear appropriate athletic apparel for the activity, such as sports bras, shorts, yoga pants, tshirts, legwarmers or sweatpants.
All ballet classes require ballet slippers.
Classes such as yoga do not require shoes.
