Nashville's Nutcracker

"You don’t want to miss this.  It might just be the best present you can give to your family this holiday season" --Nashville Parent!

It caused a sensation at its 2008 world premiere, and this year the response is bound to be even bigger!  The same traditional Nutcracker story and characters you love, but re-set in 1897 Nashville when Tennessee was on the verge of its grant International Centennial Exhibition and the world was on the cusp of an exciting new century.  Sparkling new sets and breathtaking new costumes come to life through the splendid Nashville Ballet dancers and the magnificent Nashville Symphony performing everyone's favorite Tchaikovsky music.

Director's Choice (Valentine's Weekend)

"The audience went wild, giving the company a standing ovation.  There simply isn’t any better way to end a show." -- Pointe Magazine

Eclectic choreographer Sara Slipper was inspired by the plight of the homeless as well as the music of singer songwriters Guy  Clark and Darrell Scott in this jazzy, modern, and visually enthralling production.  As The Tennessean wrote, "Nashville Ballet has outdone itself with this show."

Carmina Burana

"Carmina Burana took my breath away.  We felt transformed and mesmerized.  I honestly believe it was the best live performance I have ever seen."  --JRS, ticket holder.

The Bravos! were so overwhelming when Paul Vasterling's amazing production debuted in 2009, and the call for additional performances was so great, that we've decided to respond to popular demand and present Carmina Burana as the finale of our 2010/2011 season.  Here's the opportunity to bring friends who were not able to be in the audience at the premiere.  The Nashville Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, as well as the Nashville Children's Choir and vocal soloists provide the musical fireworks that make this one of the largest productions to enliven the Jackson Hall stage.  Don't miss this positively electrifying experience!
