Program Description
Ballet Beginnings
In collaboration with the Nashville Public Library, Nashville Ballet offers special grant funded ballet story-times, free of charge, at over 20 Metro Nashville libraries across Davidson County. An interactive learning program designed to be a great introduction to the art form of ballet. Dressed in full costume, a ballerina reads a ballet story while performing a classical variation from that ballet. Using a series of age appropriate exercises, the dancer also teaches the audience members a variety of fun jumps, turns and poses accompanied by music from the ballet story.
