NASHVILLE, Tenn. (October 23, 2012) – Good boys and girls from the Nashville area are invited to The Mall at Green Hills on Saturday, November 10 at 9:30 a.m. as Santa comes to town, bringing with him a mini-performance of Nashville’s Nutcracker from Nashville Ballet.
Taking place on the lower level outside of Macy’s, the performance will feature some of the traditional ballet’s favorite characters including Clara, the Italian Ballerina Doll, Sugar Plum Fairy, the Dancing Bear and Andrew Jackson.
“I cannot think of a more fitting way to welcome the holiday season than with our own local fairytale favorite,” says Jessica Roberts, marketing and sponsorship director for The Mall at Green Hills. “To be able to provide that experience for Nashville families is something The Mall at Green Hills is thrilled to be able to offer.”
Following the performance, select characters from the show will be available for meet and greet photos at Santa’s Village located on the mall’s upper level outside of Tiffany & Co.
“Ringing in the holiday season with The Mall at Green Hills gives our characters from Nashville’s Nutcracker a wonderful opportunity to come off of the performance stage and interact directly with members of the community to spread their holiday magic,” Nashville Ballet Director of Sales and Marketing Jim Johnson said. “Seeing these beloved characters in person offers attendees a rare glimpse at the intricate costumes and customized pointe shoes used by the dancers on stage.”
