She danced with Ballet Austin II before joining the company at Dayton Ballet and performing soloist and principal roles from choreographers such as Christopher Fleming, Alan Hineline, Steven Mills, Jeffrey Hughes and Gregory Robinson.
She joined Nashville Ballet as a member of the company in 2011 and has enjoyed dancing featured roles in many ballets, including Cinderella, Nashville’s Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, Cryin’ Out, The Whistling, Under The Lights, Petite Mort, Serenade and Satto.
Hartman also attended the National Choreographer’s Initiative as a dancer during the summers of 2014, 2015 and 2016.
An avid photographer, she merged her two loves—dance and photography—to win a Dance Magazine photography contest in 2007. She was also selected as one of Nashville Lifestyle’s "Top 25 Most Beautiful People" in 2013.
When she is not dancing, Hartman teaches yoga at Epic Yoga in Brentwood, Tenn. as a certified Baptiste yoga instructor, counsels others as a certified life coach and attends Belmont University. She is also an ambassador for the Africa Yoga Project, co-founder of Music City Yoga Festival and co-founder of Empowered Kids Yoga.
