Martin Center

In 2001 Nashville Ballet moved into The Martin Center for Nashville Ballet, a new state-of-the-art headquarters and studio located on the west side of Nashville.

In addition to its four dance studios, the facility boasts a costume shop, costume and prop storage, and offices for its school and administrative staffs. Nashville Ballet is guided by a Board of Directors and a twelve member Advisory Council, both comprised of community leaders, professionals, executives and philanthropists. The Board supports and oversees the activities of the organization through the Executive, Marketing, Development and Finance committees.

Frist Gallery

Enjoy rotating shows from local, regional and national artists in the Martin Center's Frist Gallery, available for public viewing from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Frist Gallery is looking for classical and contemporary works by new local visual artists for its 2008/2009 exhibitions. We are currently accepting submissions for any art that can be mounted using our cable and track system. Art for submission may be, but is not limited to, paintings, photography, framed artwork, and textile art.

To be considered materials must be received by April 14, 2008. All submissions will be reviewed by the gallery's artistsic committee, which meets on May 1, 2008, and artists will be notified by May 31, 2008.

The gallery is focused on upcoming artists and chooses its exhibitions based on the meret and quality of the art and not the artist's resume or volume of sales.

Submission Requirements
