Join Nashville Ballet’s Outreach & Education Department and the Belmont University School of Music as we present a FREE performance of the children's ballet, Ferdinand the Bull. Through original choreography, music and bright, colorful costumes inspired by cubist Pablo Picasso, Ferdinand the Bull tells the story of a peaceful bull who only wants to smell the flowers in the meadow, making him unfit for the bullfighting rings in Spain, as told by Munro Leaf in his classic children’s book.
This unique partnership between Nashville Ballet and the School of Music is made possible by a Metropolitan Nashville Arts Commission (MNAC) Creation Grant.
Ferdinand the Bull is FREE, open to the public and appropriate for all ages. The performance will also include a short interactive, educational program following the ballet aimed at getting guests up and moving as well as teaching them about ballet.
Pre-registration is requested, as seating is limited. Reserve tickets in advance by clicking here.
*** PLEASE NOTE: Advance reservations end at 5 p.m. on Friday, September 19.
