Originally from Joinville, Brazil, Nicolas Cristiano Scheuer joined Nashville Ballet as an apprentice in 2012.

Nicolas began his ballet studies at the Bolshoi Theatre School of Brazil, affiliated with the prestigious Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow, Russia.

During his eight years as a student at the Bolshoi Theatre School of Brazil, he had the opportunity to learn and perform notable works such as the pas de deux from Swan Lake and Les Corsarie.

Nicolas took the skills he learned from the Bolshoi to Boston Ballet School, where he continued his dance education and performed alongside Boston Ballet’s company in large-scale productions such as The Nutcracker, La Bayadere and Romeo and Juliet.

After two years at Boston Ballet School, Nicolas began his full-time performance career at the New English Ballet Theater London, where he took on roles in Classical Symphony, Resolution and Le Carnaval de Verites.

Nicolas brought his talent for classical ballet to the 2012 Youth America Grand Prix, the world’s largest student ballet scholarship competition.

Since joining Nashville Ballet in 2012, Nicolas has performed the title role in Paul Vasterling's Nashville's Nutcracker, Michael Darling in Vasterling's Peter Pan and the Waltz Man in George Balanchine's Serenade.
