At Nashville Ballet since 2011

With 14 years of superior training, Julia Mitchell joined Nashville Ballet as a member of the second company in 2011. Her stand-out performance skills earned her a position in the company one year later.
Julia trained with Boston Ballet for 12 years where she performed in 11 performances of The Nutcracker, plus several works by Balanchine, including A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Serenade and Walpurgisnacht. While at Boston Ballet, Julia also performed in Boston Ballet School’s performance of Bourneville’s Le Conservatoriette and Jorma Elo’s One Concerto.
While training at Exploring Ballet with Suzanne Farrell, Julia performed in the Kennedy Center. Since joining NB2, Julia has proven her artistry in performances such as American Dreams by emerging choreographer and Nashville Ballet company dancer Christopher Stuart, as part of Nashville Ballet’s Emergence series.
Julia spends most of her time outside the studio with family, including her dog Rori.
